Susan Ringgenberg joined SML in May 2011 with 20 years’ experience in group benefits. Prior to SML Susan was a Senior Account Manager at a Sacramento-based agency where she was able to create and implement processes for providing the clients with full in-house administration of COBRA and Combined Billing. In addition, Susan developed a near-flawless structure for providing clients with superior customer service that included:

  • Online processing of enrollment forms
  • Quick response and resolution to customer service requests
  • Assisting members with unpaid claims
  • Explaining benefits to members in a clear and concise manner
  • Developing a new hire pamphlet with complete details of each plan offered
  • Developing and implementing a Universal Enrollment Form

Susan has also developed and implemented a system within which she works closely with the Human Resources Department at each client to ensure proper training and understanding of COBRA, Combined Billing, and carrier rules in regards to paperwork, and employee member services.

In addition to working with her group clients, Susan performed for many years as the Operations Manager – where she provided such services as: insurance licensing and contracting, payroll, corporate account payable and receivables, tax reporting, managing the FSA and 401(
